We got these for my daughter because she has sensitive ears that have not healed even 8 months after her initial piercings. I was told these are surgical grade titanium which was why I ordered these. The only thing I would say is these studs were recommended when filtering down for ear lobes, however the posts are very thick (16 mm gauge) and the way they are designed (same width and not pointy) makes them impossible to push through sensitive ears as they go in from behind the ears. My daughter's original posts are pointy and pushed in from front to back. Her ear lobes started to bleed so we gave up trying to push these earrings in. Attached is a picture to show the thickness of the post next to a regular stud (with butterfly back). The post of this stud requires the piercing to be much wider in order to fit, or perhaps will work on a fully healed piercing without causing irritation.

Customer service refunded my money when they saw my first review even though I never asked for one. I greatly appreciate how much this company cares about their customer's experience.
